Another great year for Blinder bunker liners at BTME 2013
A big thank you from the Blinder team goes out to everyone that visited us at the stand. It was a really busy show for us with non stop interest from Tuesday through to Thursday.
Blinder Technical Director, Murray Long gave a presentation on Bunker construcution techniques to a packed room, while at the same time, Penny Long was presenting to the press with Rydian from Enviro bunker, on the recent colaboration of the two product at Royston Golf Club.
Pro fusion Enviromental were also on hand to offer support and installation and construction advice to prospective clients
We wish you all the Best for the coming year, hopefully with a little less rain and look forward to seeing you throughout the year and at BTME 2014.

C39 Is the stand to come and visit at BTME in January 2013
The bunker lining solution is now in its third year at BTME and continues to go from strength to strength with another successful season that had many clubs happy to have the Blinder bunkers after the extremely wet year.
Another exciting development was the launch of the Blinder Eco path a material that blends naturally into the golf course environment. The product is shredded rubber, with a choice of 6 colours and a blend of as many as three different colours and mixed with a binding agent to hold it in place. When laid the Blinder Eco path looks remarkably like wood mulch.

Rain does not stop play at Blinder

Amazing results have been experienced with bunkers installed with Blinder over the wet year of 2012
With one of the wettest seasons on record, bunkers have been under extreme test. The bunkers fitted with blinder have performed beyond course manangers dreams, with little to no wash and no flooding at all.
Many e mails and calls have been recieved from the Blinder team from course managers who have been given hope after the amazing performance of the bunker lining system through these harsh conditions.
With no flooding, no pumping is needed and bunkers easily rake up to provide a perfect surface for bunker play even after over 50mm of rain over short periods of time. Imagine if all the bunkers were Blindered, general course presentation would be raised and the time spent fixing bunkers from flooding, contamination, wash and raking after heavy rain would saved and diverted to other areas.

Blinder moves forward to the Berksire

Par 3 on the Berkshire Red
The Bershire golf club have installed Blinder bunker liner in one of there prestiguous Par 3's on the Red course.
The two bunkers were installed in early March on the 18th hole, a great finishing hole playing upto the clubhouse.
Pro fusion installers of Blinder UK worked closely with course manager Ian Morrison with the careful installation under the heather clad faces.

A Great show for Blinder
A Blinding Success at BTME
A year on from their official launch at BIGGA Turf Management Exhibition (BTME), the Sunningdale based company, Blinder, returned to their stand on 24th January with plenty of successful installations behind them and many more ahead. After a productive day on the stand, the Blinder team celebrated their first anniversary in style by hosting a party at Albert’s Bar in Harrogate. The contemporary setting and lively atmosphere was the perfect location for the golden ticket recipients, which included some of the golf industries finest, to party the night away.
It was back to business for the next couple of days which saw large numbers flocking to the blinder stand with a total of nearly 7,000 attendees at BTME in just two days. Here visitors were able to learn about this unique product which is not only environmentally approved but is also recycled. The patent-pending product is the ultimate bunker liner solution for golf clubs and course managers.
A presentation on Thursday from Murray Long of Blinder and Nigel Wyatt of Pro Fusion, environmental installers of Blinder and highly regarded golf course contractors, drew in the crowds as they spoke about the way forward for bunkers. “The presentation gave Nigel and I an opportunity to explain the importance of a sound bunker liner and so we hope that with the information we presented, the audience were able to see how Blinder ticks all the boxes,” said Murray. “The Blinder team and I are extremely grateful to those who attended the presentation and visited us at our stand. We would like to thank everyone for their continued support and can assure you that we remain dedicated to the progression of bunker presentation and maintenance.”

Driving forward!!!

RAC Country Club
The prestigous RAC Country club have had great results from their trial bunker, that has now been in place for over a year. The bunker that was one of the more troublesome has completely reduced wash, and contamination from chalk and flint.
The club is now driving forward with a phase of Blinder bunkers being installed through February and March.

A Great show for Blinder
Many courses in the Surrey, Berkshire area experienced a 12 hour period of heavy rain up to 50mm/2 inches.
All courses with Blinder installed reported fantastic result, with no wash, no flooding and ease of raking after torrential rain.
A great testimony that Blinder bunker liner maintains bunkers with excellent playability and cuts down maintenance operations.

Wimbledon Park Golf Club enters next phase of installations
Blinder, the bunker lining solution system, is delighted to announce the appointment of its installation contractor.
Directors Murray and Penny Long have selected Profusion Environmental Limited as the exclusive installer for their flexible solution to problematic bunkers.
Commenting on the appointment, Murray said: “Due to the ever growing interest in Blinder and the subsequent increase in installations, it has been paramount that we have an experienced and knowledgeable contractor on-board to ensure that the process is carried out correctly and successfully. We‘ve worked closely with Nigel Wyatt, director of Profusion, to develop an efficient and consistent installation method.”
Blinderis designed specifically to deal with all maintenance problems experienced by golf course managers resulting in inconsistencies that frustrate golfers. Heavy rain wash out, sand inconsistency and sand contamination are problems that result in lost man hours and costly material replacement. The bunker has now been in place since November 17th and has the harshest of test with freezing/thaw ground conditions and heavy rain fall. coming through all with flying colours!
